AceShowbiz - Jordyn Woods has spoken out after she was accused of shading Kylie Jenner with one of her TikTok videos. The model clarified that her TikTok clip, in which she participated in the viral trend of showing off her natural lips, wasn't meant as a shade toward her former best friend.
In the video, Jordyn could be seen looking into the camera as she hid her lips while the tune of a sped-up version of The Weeknd's "Party Monster" played in the background. When the lyrics "Angelina, lips like Angelina" came, she then showed her voluptuous lips. She captioned the Tuesday, December 20 post, "thank you mom & dad for these genetics."
Upon watching the video, some fans believed that Jordyn was throwing shade at Kylie, who previously admitted to getting lip fillers. "lowkey shade," one fan pointed out in a comment. Jordyn caught wind of the remark and quickly denied the speculation. "There's no shade toward anyone, this is a trend I've seen a bunch of girls doing and I wanted to hop on," so she clarified.
Back in 2015, Kylie opened up about getting lip fillers after months of speculation. "I have temporary lip fillers. It's just an insecurity of mine and it's what I wanted to do," the then-17-year-old reality TV star said in an episode of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians".
"The Kardashians" star also revealed that her insecurities helped spawn her Kylie Comestics makeup empire. "I think my love for makeup started with my insecurity with my lips … I had really small lips and I didn't ever think about it until I had one of my first kisses," she told host Andy Cohen during the "KUWTK" reunion last April. "A guy said to me, 'Oh my God, you are such a good kisser, but you have such small lips,' or something like that. From then on, I felt unkissable."
She went on to say, "I had an insecurity because this guy said something to me one time. Then I got an obsession with makeup because I would over-line my lips and it just made me feel confident."
Meanwhile, Kylie and Jordyn infamously fell out in 2019. It happened after Jordyn was spotted getting intimate with Tristan Thompson, who was dating Kylie's sister Khloe Kardashian at the time, at a party.
