The former TV executive offers a clarification after he's dragged by many Instagram users for asking whether Ashanti has gone under the knife to enhance her look.

AceShowbiz - Wendy Williams' ex-husband has made it clear that he didn't mean to diss Ashanti with his recent question. Having sparked backlash for asking if the musician had plastic surgery, Kevin Hunter called her a "beautiful black woman."
Kevin offered his clarification via Instagram Story. "Look I think @ashanti is a BEAUTIFUL BLACK WOMAN!!.. I have posted a NUMBER of positive posts that no one ever runs with. In this day and time it's not uncommon for people to have surgery," he began his message.
"My question was for my page..I'm not a blogger nor am I trying to be or disrespect her in any way..I SALUTE all her natural assets and was merely posing a question," he continued. "SALUTE to her and all her accomplishments Errbody CALM DOWN!"
Prior to that, Kevin re-posted an old photo of Ashanti on Instagram Story. "Ion know..that's alotta weight gain since 2007. No hate queen but BODY DONE???" he wondered.
The post has since been re-shared by The Shade Room, and people were quick to attack him. "Him 'no hate'… then proceeds to hate. The attack on black women from black men is wild. They literally had to reference your ex wife just to ensure we even knew buddy," one person argued.
Another commented, "Expecting women to keep the same body from their 20's into their 40's or else it's surgery is nutty…"A third opined, "It's the audacity to even think she owes him or anyone an explanation for the changes her body has experienced for me. Just weird."
The criticism continued with one writing, "Wasn't you just saying you couldn't pay your rent because them Wendy checks stop! Boy you got bigger things to worry about." A different individual penned, "No hate but your bank account has changed a lot in the last 15 years."
