AceShowbiz - Another baby is on the way for Nelly and Ashanti, if a new report is to be trusted. The hip-hop artist and the R&B singer are said to be expecting their second child, less than three months after they welcomed their first child together.

Media Take Out first reported the news on Thursday, October 17. Citing a top source close to Ashanti, the news outlet said that it's always the couple's plans to give their newborn son a sibling, but they didn't expect it to be so soon.

"They wanted to have another baby. Not so soon, but God had other plans," the so-called friend said. Regardless the timing, the couple is reportedly over the moon happy about Ashanti's pregnancy.

But the source assures that the pregnancy is not going to slow Ashanti down. The 44-year-old is set to perform at a benefit concert in New York next week and she may not be able to hide her pregnancy glow. "Ashanti is definitely showing [her new pregnancy]. She's glowing and beautiful," the source gushed.

According to the same source, Ashanti and Nelly have been raising their newborn son in the couple's St. Louis mansion. Since their son's birth, the pair have been spending a lot of time together, changing diapers and snuggling up together watching Netlifx.

Neither Ashanti nor Nelly has spoken up on the rumor of her alleged second pregnancy. The pair, who first dated in 2003 and split in 2014, rekindled their romance in 2023. In December, it was reported that they were expecting their first child together. In April, Ashanti confirmed her pregnancy and their engagement in Essence magazine.

In June, it was revealed that Ashanti and Nelly have been married since December 27, 2023. In August, it was reported that their son, Kareem Kenkaide Haynes, was born on July 18. While the newborn baby is the first child for Ashanti, it's the fifth for Nelly who has two other children from previous relationships and adopted children from his stepsister Jaqueline Donahue, who died of leukemia on March 25, 2005.
