The 'Certified Lover Boy' artist was supposed to perform at Apollo Theatre in New York on November 11, but it first was delayed until December 6 and 7 in the wake of Takeoff's death.

AceShowbiz - Drake's fans will need to wait a little longer to see him perform at the Apollo Theatre in New York. The "Certified Lover Boy" artist put the shows on hold once again due to "production delays," pushing back the dates to January 21 and 22.

The Canadian emcee, his radio channel Sound 42, and broadcasting company SiriusXM shared the announcement through a joint statement. "These upcoming shows for SiriusXM are so incredibly special for us. If you are going to play the world famous Apollo Theater, it has to be a world class production," the statement read.

"We as a team have been working around the clock not just putting together a concert but an experience our fans deserve," it added. "With that said, we are up against some production delays that are just out of our control."

It was also stated that the decision was made "after many difficult meetings and conversations." The teams decided they would need to "allow the necessary time for the work to be completed."

Drake has yet to share the information on his social media accounts. However, the website linked in his Instagram bio featured a statement that read, "The Drake at the Apollo shows previously scheduled on December 6 and December 7, 2022 will now be held on January 21 and January 22, 2023."

The "God's Plan" hitmaker was supposed to perform at Apollo Theatre on November 11, but it was delayed until December 6 and 7. The first postponement was made "to pay respect to our dear friend" Takeoff, who was fatally shot on November 1 following an altercation at the 810 Billiards and Bowling Houston in Texas.
