AceShowbiz - Megan Thee Stallion is making new history. The Houston Hottie is the first black woman to cover Forbes 30 Under 30 and she takes to her social media platform to express her excitement about her new milestone.
Making use of her Instagram feed on Monday, November 28, the "Traumazine" hitmaker uploaded a photo of Forbes 30 Under 30 cover that saw her posing fiercely with her red hair, long pink nails and bold makeup. In the caption, she proudly wrote, "First BLACK WOMAN on thee cover of @forbes 30 under 30 [fire emoji] real hotgirl s**t [money emojis] see you soon hotties love yall."
According to the business publication, the Hot Girl Meg brought in an impressive $13 million in 2022 through royalties, ticket sales, merch, and endorsements. "I can't slow down right now," the 27-year-old femcee said of her success. "I'll take a break when I'm dead. I'm trying to really build something. When I start sitting, I feel like I'm not doing enough or I'm giving somebody else the opportunity to pass me."
"It's really hard to be the first something in 2022," she noted in her video interview with the publication. "I want to be bigger than just my music. I want people to know Megan as everything that she ever wanted to be. Megan the artist."
Meg continued, "I feel I've always liked to dabble and dab in a lot of different things, and I feel like I got that from my mom and my dad." The "Sweetest Pie" raptress further detailed, "My dad was a street guy, he was an entrepreneur, he had his own clothing line. My mother, I watched her go to work nine-to-five every day, and come home and write songs. And take me to the studio, and be a mom, and be just a good woman in general."
Elsewhere during the interview, Meg revealed that she is planning to release a new album and embark on a 2023 world tour. Also on the horizon for the "Savage" femcee is a Netflix deal to create and produce several shows, including a comedy based on her childhood. In addition, Time Inc. is paying the rapper $3 million to produce a documentary on her life.
Through all of her success, Meg said one of the biggest lessons she's learned is to "save your money." She shared, "I still haven't made a stupid, crazy purchase. My jewelry is expensive, and my house was expensive, outside of that, I'm not buying 100 cars. Learn how to make your money work for you, I feel like that was important for me to share."
