AceShowbiz - Gwyneth Paltrow is using her connection to A-listers to promote her latest Goop holiday gift guide. In a new ad to promote her lifestyle brand's annual holiday gift guide, the actress subtly mentions her ex Brad Pitt and enlists her BFF Cameron Diaz for an important role while also poking fun at her banter with Martha Stewart.
In the video, the Oscar winner takes her fans behind the scenes of how her company curates the lists of the finest presents. "It's kind of like the North Pole, but way more chic," she says, before showing the presents she's prepared for "the people who are most important to me in my life."
The 50-year-old prepares hand towels featuring the Kama Sutra for Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker, Goopgenes eye de-puffing masks for her former boyfriend Brad, a vibrator for Drew Barrymore, and $30 cured ham from Mercado Famous to upgrade Bella Hadid's viral Tik Tok sandwich recipe.
She then takes fans to the lab where they test the products to make sure they "deliver cheer and pleasure all year round." Getting candid, she reveals her favorite vibrator.
Later, her best friend Cameron shows up in the kitchen to taste some French desserts. She also joins a group of expert panelists who give their seal of approval to the Goop gifts.
Toward the end of the video, Gwyneth hops into a vintage Mercedes-Benz which is fully loaded with gift boxes, when she receives a call on her cell. "Gwyneth, Martha Stewart is on the line," a male voice tells her. The "Shakespeare in Love" star stares into the camera and says, "Guys, I gotta take this." The male voice says again, "It sounds urgent!" before Gwyneth puts on her lipstick and speeds off.
Martha is known for not being a fan of Gwyneth's Goop. In 2014, the lifestyle guru told Net-a-Porter's Porter magazine that the actress "just needs to be quiet. She's a movie star. If she were confident in her acting, she wouldn't be trying to be Martha Stewart."
Martha also called out Goop's vagina candles. Calling it "irritating," she said, "I wouldn't buy that candle." The 81-year-old blamed "guys who are horny" for the reason the brand sold out its line of vagina candles.
