Lizzo Reveals How She and Adele Congratulate Each Other After Receiving Multiple Grammys Nominations

The 'About Damn Time' hitmaker opens up to her fans during Instagram Live about how she and the 'Easy on Me' singer congratulate each other after receiving multiple nominations at the 65th annual awards.

AceShowbiz - Lizzo is getting candid about her friendship with Adele. During a livestream on her social media platform, the "About Damn Time" songstress revealed how she and the "Easy on Me" hitmaker congratulated each other after they received multiple Grammy Awards nominations.

During an Instagram Live on Wednesday, November 16, the 34-year-old songstress was asked by one of her followers, "Have you met Adele yet?" In response, she said with a smile, "Yes! I have. I've seen Adele plenty of times. She later unveiled that she recently texted Adele as saying, "I was texting with her today. We were congratulating each other."

Lizzo then gushed over Adele, "I'm excited to see her because I don't really see her often. She's great. I think she's so cool. Like, actually just cool." The "Good as Hell" singer added, "Very confident person."

Elsewhere during the live session, Lizzo was joined by Saucy Santana, who earned zero Grammys nominations. "I nominated you, by the way. I voted for you. I nominated you, by the way. I voted for you," Lizzo assured him.

In response, Saucy stressed that it's okay as he's "currently working on a grammy." The "Material Girl" rapper, whose real name is Rashad Spain, added, "My fans be getting so bad, but I just feel like I just appreciate them."

"I was like, you know, everything takes time. So, I be like, 'Oh, my God, it's coming.' Like, grateful to even be a part of a conversation," Saucy continued. The 29-year-old emcee further stressed that he's fine as he's "only been rapping since 2019."

The Recording Academy announced its nominees on Tuesday, November 15. Lizzo, who already has three wins, snagged six major award nominations. Her hit single "About Damn Time" is up for Record of the Year as well as Song of the Year. Her album, "Special", is nominated for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album. The singer also got a nomination for Best Pop Solo Performance for "About Damn Time".

In the meantime, Lizzo's best friend Adele, who carries 15 Grammy Awards to her name, also received 6 nods. Her hit "Easy on Me" is up for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance and Best Music Video. In the meantime, her latest album, "30", is nominated for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album.
