The 'So Mi Like It' singer makes use of her Instagram account to set the record straight regarding her well-being and her social media absence for the past few weeks.

AceShowbiz - Dancehall icon Spice has broken her silence after it was rumored that she was in a coma following a heart attack. The singer made use of her Instagram account on Wednesday, November 9 to set the record straight regarding her well-being and social media absence for the past few weeks.

Beginning her message, Spice wrote, "Thank you Jesus for saving my life. Hey Besties I'm in a better space today to properly update you on my current health situation." The musician then shared that she "suffered a damage hernia a few days ago that sent my body into sepsis, as a result I was rushed to the hospital for immediate surgery."

She went on adding, "As you know I've been off Social Media for a while to rest mentally, so little did I know that during my medical scare it was already been said that I had a heart attack, I was in a Coma , and I also died ‍but none of that is true." Spice, however, shared that she's "still recovering from what really happened" before thanking fans "for all the prayers and concerns."

The "So Mi Like It" deejay also issued an apology to "all the promoters that has a confirmed booking" with her. "CAYMAN I Know you was up next, for 25th of this month however I'll see you at a later date. Any further information needed there's always a contact in my bio. THE QUEEN LOVES YOU ALL," so she concluded her post.

Friends and fans quickly showed love in the comments section. "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Kandi Burruss wrote, "I'm so glad to hear you're ok! Praying that you heal & feel better than ever!" Model Winnie Harlow, meanwhile, said, "Jesusssss!!!! @badgyalshanshan one thing about prayerrrrr ️ praise himmmmm Grace yuh had us ah bawllllll!!! So happy you're okay my love!!!! Heal up, rest up! You're blessed and highly favoured."

Missy Elliott also sent prayers for Spice's recovery. "Love you sis! Prayers for healing physically & mental peace," the "Work It" raptress wrote.

Spice, who turned 40 in August, was previously said to have developed complications during a cosmetic medical procedure. Additionally, Minister Marion Hall (formerly known as Lady Saw) appeared to further perpetuate the speculations as she asked her fans to pray for Spice during a Facebook Live session.

"God of Glory, I place Grace Hamilton at your feet. We had a lot of stuff, some accusations of me doing evil, but God, today I understand this word you have given me. I am not bitter, God," Hall, who has a checkered history with Spice, shared. "You took away my bitterness…yes, there are times I cry over accusations…but I pray that you will not just revive her, but also strengthen her."

She continued, "It doesn't matter what she did to me…you know, God, I have never done evil to her. Never. I had loved her with a pure, loving heart. I was there for her, God. You be there for her now, Lord. Bring her back out of the darkness into your light, God." Hall also urged Spice "to put away pride and the love of the world and come" to God.

Her booking agent, however, shut down the speculations. "Those are all lies," Ray Alexander told Observer Online. "Spice hasn't had a heart attack, and she isn't in a coma. The rumors were caused by people not knowing where she was and because she hadn't posted on IG since October."
