The new official sneak peek sheds more light on Jonathan Majors' Damian Anderson, who tries to prove himself to the world and claim his place in the sport after getting locked up for the past 18 years.

AceShowbiz - MGM has debuted the first official trailer of "Creed III", one day after unleashing the first-look posters. Set seven years since Michael B. Jordan's Adonis "Donnie" Creed broke into the boxing scene, the video begins by depicting him as a successful man, both in his career and in his family.

Donnie then reunites with an old friend, Damian Anderson, portrayed by Jonathan Majors, who just got released from jail after spending 18 years behind bars. The trailer offers a glimpse of how the two had a run-in with the law, back when they were younger.

Initially, things look friendly between them, with Donnie inviting Damian to the gym. But things get intense between them once Damian starts trying to prove himself to the world and claim his place in the sport.

"Damian's fighting the world and he's trying to hurt people," Donnie says, as he gets concerned about Damian apparently crossing the line in the ring. He's then seen confronting his old friend, saying, "I vouched for you."

"You think you mad?" Damian responds. "Try spending half your life in a cell. Watching somebody else live your life." He adds, "I'm coming for everything," to which Donnie replies, "You threatening me?"

Donnie then confides to his fiancee Bianca Taylor (Tessa Thompson), "Damian was like family. Now we past talking." She suggests them to have a showdown in the ring, which apparently leads to the climax of the upcoming film.

For "Creed III", Jordan isn't only back into the ring as Adonis Creed, but also he steps behind the lens as director. Ryan Coogler, who directed the first movie, is still attached as executive producer. The upcoming movie also marks the first feature in the "Rocky" franchise without Sylvester Stallone as Rocky. Keenan Coogler penned the script, sharing the credits with Zach Baylin.

The sports drama film also stars Phylicia Rashad as Mary Anne Creed, Wood Harris as Tony "Little Duke" Evers, and Florian Munteanu as Viktor Drago. Furthermore, Selenis Leyva, Thaddeus J. Mixson, Spence Moore II, Mila Davis-Kent and Canelo Alvarez have been cast in undisclosed roles. It is scheduled for release on March 3, 2023 in the United States.
