AceShowbiz - Country music star Michael Wilson Hardy, who goes by his surname as a performer, is recovering from serious injuries after a tour bus crash. The singer/songwriter and his crew were treated for "significant injuries" following the accident in Nashville.

According to a report by the Tennessean, the accident happened around 2:30 A.M. on Sunday, October 2. Hardy was just performing at Country Thunder at Bristol Motor Speedway when the tour bus overturned on a portion of Interstate 40 West near Nashville.

Hardy took to his Instagram page on Sunday to inform his fans about the incident. "Following last night's show, our tour bus was in an accident on our way home from Bristol. There were just four of us, including myself, on the bus, however we were all treated for significant injuries," he penned over a plain black background.

While he has been released from the hospital, Hardy revealed that the bus driver is still in the hospital and asked for prayers for the bus driver. "Our friend, and bus driver needs your prayers as he is still in the hospital," he continued. "His family is with him while he is being treated and we're all pulling and praying for him."

The 32-year-old went on noting that the accident may affect his upcoming scheduled shows as he is recovering. "I've been released from the hospital, but ordered by doctors to recover for the next few weeks which may cost us at a couple of shows. My team and I will keep the fans updated on that as I rest in the coming days," he promised.

"Please keep our road family in your prayers and I promise to keep you updated in the days to follow," he added, before concluding his statement, "God bless our medics and local and state officials for their quick response and incredible service."

Hardy has since received well wishes from his friends and followers, including actor Taylor Lautner who wrote, "I'm so sorry my man. Praying for your friend/driver." Fellow country music star Dylan Marlowe commented, "Prayin man," while former "The Voice" contestant Raelynn expressed her sympathy as writing, "Praying for your driver and a full healing in everyone's body!!"

Hardy, who has written songs for Florida Georgia Line, Chris Lane, Blake Shelton, Dallas Smith, Thomas Rhett and Morgan Wallen among others, was at the show which also featured performance from Lauren Alaina, Tracy Lawrence and Ian Munsick as well as his friend and frequent collaborator Wallen.
