AceShowbiz - Ciara has tapped Summer Walker for her new music. On Wednesday, September 28, the 36-year-old singer unleashed a single called "Better Thangs" which features a guest appearance from the "Still Over It" artist.

"Lately, I been livin' my life/ I don't pay the hate no mind/ Doin' better things with my time, yeah/ Elevated to a new height," Ciara sings. "Never do the same thing twice/ Puttin' all the lames on ice, yeah."

"I got grace, put a n***a right in his place/ Ain't got nothin' else to say/ 'Cause I know karma comes around," Summer then chants in the second verse. "So I pray, never waste mental space/ Or my energy on things I can't control."

Ciara described "Better Thangs" as "a feel-good R&B anthem for elevating every aspect of your life." She went on to note, "It's meant to bring joy while inspiring the continuous evolution of one's self."

I have so much respect for my girl Summer and it’s fitting to have her on the record because we connect on so many levels, from where we come from, to our journeys and our mission to inspire other people to go after what they deserve in life… better thangs!"

The tune follows Ciara's first track since 2020, "Jump", which was dropped in July. Both of them will appear on her upcoming album that will bring "so much energy."

Of the project, Ciara gushed during a cover story for Ebony Magazine's September/October issue, "I'm so excited! It's such a joy and a gift to share my music with the world; I never take it for granted." She added, "I love being able to create a project and show everyone what I've been vibing to."

"There's so much energy in this album because I want to make the world dance-that's always been my thing," she explained further. "It's the tempo and beat I've been moving to in my music, and the key sentiments I've poured into this album. There is an R&B core in these records. To be honest, this album feels nostalgic. It takes me back to my first album in a way that no project I've done to this point has before."
