After the 'Only Girl ('In the World)' hitmaker confirms her headlining gig for the 2023 event, former headliner Dr. Dre shares his excitement to 'see what she's going to do.'

AceShowbiz - Dr. Dre has reacted to the news that Rihanna will perform at the Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show. Having delivered an award-winning performance at this year's Super Bowl alongside Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar and 50 Cent, the hip-hop mogul has a thing or two to share with Rih on how to prepare for the highly-anticipated show.

The Death Row Records co-founder shared his wisdom to Rihanna when sitting down for an interview with Ebro Darden on Apple Music 1. "Put the right people around you and have fun," he said on the show for the "Umbrella" hitmaker to hear. "That's basically what it is - making sure you have the right creative people around you."

Earlier during the interview, Dr. Dre, whose real name is Andre Romelle Young, couldn't hide his excitement about seeing Rihanna's Halftime takeover. "Oh, my God. Let me tell you something, man. I actually just got the news that Rihanna's going to do [the Halftime Show] and I'm a super fan of Rihanna," he shared. "I can't wait to see what she's going to do."

The 57-year-old went on gushing, "I just like her and what she does and her get down and how she approaches her artistry and the whole nine. It's fantastic." He also commented that Rihanna "has the opportunity to really blow us away," before adding, "I know we set the bar extremely high."

Rihanna announced she has been tapped for the Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show, which will take place on February 12, 2023, via her social media pages on Sunday, September 25. The 34-year-old surprised her fans as she re-shared a post by Roc Nation that featured her hand holding an NFL ball with the caption which simply read, "Let's GO."

Apple Music, which has replaced Pepsi as its sponsor, added in its own tweet, "IT'S ON. @rihanna will take the stage for the first ever Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show on 2.12.23." It added, "#SBLVII @NFL@NFLonFOX @RocNation."

Meanwhile, Apple's vice president of Apple Music and Beats, Oliver Schusser, said in a statement, "Rihanna is an incredible recording artist who is a favorite for many millions of Apple Music customers around the world." Oliver added, "We're excited to partner with Rihanna, Roc Nation and the NFL to bring music and sports fans a momentous show - what an incredible artist for the inaugural Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show."
