The new King of England looks somber and appears to hold back tears as the funeral of the Queen and his mother at London's Westminster Abbey is drawing to a close.

AceShowbiz - King Charles III appeared to be in deep grief during Queen Elizabeth's state funeral. The 73-year-old looked teary and somber during the service held at London's Westminster Abbey on Monday afternoon, September 19, local time. The new King of England, with his wife Camilla, Queen Consort, by his side, appeared to hold back tears as the ceremony was drawing to a close.

The Last Post was played by four state trumpeters of the Household Cavalry toward the end of the service, followed by a two-minute national silence, which was observed throughout the abbey and the U.K. as a whole. The National Anthem was later sung, bringing the service to an end.

The Queen's coffin, which was placed at the center of the church during the service, was later carried away from Westminter Abbey for a walking procession to Wellington Arch at London's Hyde Park Corner, where it will be moved into a hearse. From there, it will be taken to Windsor, before another procession to take the coffin along the Long Walk to the Queen's final resting place in St. George's Chapel will start.

King Charles earlier arrived at Westminster Hall along with his sons Prince William and Prince Harry to escort the Queen's coffin to Westminster Abbey. The crowd was heard cheering for the new King as he passed through the street to the place where the Queen was lying in state for the past eight days.

The Queen's other children, Prince Andrew, Princess Anne and Prince Edward, also marched behind the coffin, which was carried on the State Gun Carriage of the Royal Navy, drawn by 142 sailors. They later walked behind the coffin as it made its way through the abbey. Camilla, the Queen Consort, Sophie, Countess of Wessex, Catherine, Princess of Wales, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, The Duke of Kent and Prince Michael of Kent, also joined the royal procession inside the church.
