During a cover story for Ebony Magazine's September/October issue, the '1, 2 Step' songstress reveals that she's 'so excited! It's such a joy and a gift to share my music with the world.'

AceShowbiz - Ciara has given fans some hints about her new music. Noting that her upcoming album brings "so much energy," the "1, 2 Step" singer declared she wants to "make the word dance" with the project.

"I'm so excited! It's such a joy and a gift to share my music with the world; I never take it for granted," the 36-year-old gushed during a cover story for Ebony Magazine's September/October issue. "I love being able to create a project and show everyone what I've been vibing to."

"For my 'Jump' record it's been so great working with [music video director] Dave Meyers to execute my vision. I think one of the greatest things that came out of the pandemic is realizing we're all much stronger than we thought we were, and we're all trying to find ways to thrive," she added. "The world can never have enough joy, the world can ever never have enough love and the world can definitely never have enough dance."

Ciara went on to share, "There's so much energy in this album because I want to make the world dance-that's always been my thing." She further explained, "It's the tempo and beat I've been moving to in my music, and the key sentiments I've poured into this album. There is an R&B core in these records. To be honest, this album feels nostalgic. It takes me back to my first album in a way that no project I've done to this point has before."

Ciara dropped her first music since 2020, "Jump", in July. The Coast Contra-assisted track also marks her first song since she signed a new label deal with Republic Records and Uptown Records.

"I am thrilled to partner with Uptown/Republic Records through my own label imprint Beauty Marks Entertainment," she announced. "[Republic co-president] Wendy [Goldstein] and I have been in discussion to work together for some time and the enthusiasm that her and the entire team have expressed over this new project marks an exciting new chapter in my career… I am grateful to be able to continue my mission of making the world dance with a team I admire, who are at the forefront of empowering artists."
