NLE Choppa Urges Fans to 'Be Gentle' With Ex-GF Marissa Da'Nae After Her Emotional Video Went Viral

The 'Shotta Flow' rapper's response comes after trolls make fun of a tearful video, in which his ex-girlfriend speaks about how hard it is coping with her new reality.

AceShowbiz - NLE Choppa has reacted to Marissa Da'Nae's emotional video about their recent breakup that went viral. Responding to the clip, the "Shotta Flow" rapper asked his fans to "be gentle" with his ex-girlfriend while they both try to move on.

On Friday, September 16, the Tennessee-born emcee posted a 37-minute video on his YouTube channel to address the matter. "To begin, I take full blame, full accountability, full responsibility for all my actions," he began.

NLE later uplifted Marissa as the "sweetest, kindest person" and admitted that it was the "best relationship" he ever had. Unfortunately, he admitted that he just wasn't ready for that type of commitment with her. In addition to wishing her the best, he also advised fans to "be gentle on her heart" while they both try to move on.

"I don't see myself at this time period with me being 19 years old, with me having not experienced my twenties and all this stuff, I do not see me being just loyal to you," explained the "Walk Em Down" rapper. "In the beginning, I told her, I said, 'Yo, I'm a loyal individual, but I cannot, I can't sit here and lie to you and say if I be with you, you the only person I'ma have sex with,' or 'You will be the only partner.' "

A few moments later, NLE turned to Twitter to slam people who made fun of Marissa's emotional video. "Some people don't know how to grieve, that's something I have to understand. If they do it publicly, privately, or whatever atleast they letting there hurt out," so he wrote, "That's the detox. Understand that some people love hard, So certain things hit them HARDER !"

Upon learning of NLE's response to her tearful footage, Marissa issued a statement, "Thank you everybody who's reached out, checked on me, sent encouraging words. Yesterday, I was trying to deal with a new pain, and unfortunately it took over."

Marissa then stressed that she's "not embarrassed or ashamed" by letting the world know what she truly feels. "We are human. I love hard, I love him and that's my Bestfriend," she added, "Separating from my world is really kinda hard when you have to move to another world you're not use too."

Marissa went on to share a message to those who "wanted to say hurtful things to [her] and wishing bad on [her] downfall." She said, "I pray for your heart and soul. I pray that whenever you have something heavy on your heart, that God holds you and no one laughs at your pain."

Marissa Da'Nae said she's 'not embarrassed' by her viral emotional post-breakup video.

The said video was posted by Marissa via Instagram Story on Thursday, September 15. In it, she tearfully spoke about how hard it is coping with her new reality. "Honestly, how hard it is for me to sleep or how hard it is get up, and face reality because this was not my reality a week ago," she said.

"I can't tell y'all how hard it is because I love so hard and I love harder and harder and harder every time and this one hurts the most because I really thought that I was gonna marry this man," Marissa, who said she had knots in her stomach, couldn't eat and had been crying uncontrollably since the breakup, said in between her tears. She then added, "I'm trying to be strong and it's hard."

On Monday, September 12, NLE went public with his breakup with Marissa. Announcing the news on Twitter, he wrote, "I Am Single, Im Man Enough To Admit I'm Not Ready, And I Have Some Growing To Do."
