AceShowbiz - Stacey Dash seems pretty unbothered with social media backlash. In a new post, the "Single Ladies" actress could be seen dancing to DMX's song after she was slammed for not knowing the rapper had passed away over a year ago.
Making use of her Instagram account on Friday morning, September 9, the "Clueless" star and cousin to Damon Dash posted a video of her enjoying herself to the late hip-hop star's 2006 hit "Lord Give Me a Sign". In the caption of the post, she wrote, "#devil I rebuke #you."
A few minutes later, Stacey uploaded a clip of her telling her followers that she has "been praying and the devil has been busy in [her] head." She explained, "All he wants to do is discourage me, make me feel unworthy..like I'm not good enough, and shame me."
"He also makes me forget that Jesus Christ died on the cross for you and me so that our sins can be forgiven and that we could have life and have life more abundantly," Stacey continued. So what does he do? He uses people that you don't even know to judge you, condemn you, be cruel to you and say cruel and mean things."
Stacey added, "He will use the people that are closest to you that live the deepest in your heart and your soul to shame you, to make you feel like you're not worthy and you're a failure and an embarrassment." She stressed, "Lies. Lies from the devil, don't believe them. They're not true," before concluding, "God bless you, peace."
In the comment section, however, many of her followers reminded her that Queen Elizabeth II has recently passed away. "hey queen elizabeth died dm me when you get a chance," one Instagram user wrote, while another chimed in, "Just letting you know Queen Elizabeth died." A third added, "Queen Elizabeth died, just so you know."
Earlier this month, Stacey, who had been struggling with drug addiction, landed in hot water after she shared a video of her getting emotional when she realized that DMX had died over a year ago. "I didn't know DMX died," she said in between her tears. "I didn't know, from a cocaine overdose. I am today, six years and one month clean, and it breaks my heart. It breaks my heart that he lost to it. He lost to that demon of addiction. Please. Please, don't lose."
In the caption of her Instagram post, Stacey wrote, "I was strolling through #tiktok and found a #DMX song that has saved me many times." She continued, "Suddenly it says #RIP i know I am late, i did not know he passed away, he #OD I am heartbroken - he was such a great guy."
