When confirming the devastating news, the 'Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen' actor also credits his mom Shayna Saide for stressing a relationship with God.

AceShowbiz - Shia LaBeouf's mother Shayna Saide sadly passed away at the age of 80. When sharing the sad news, the "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" actor revealed that she died of heart failure on August 27.
The 36-year-old broke the news in an email interview with The Hollywood Reporter. "My mother was full of fear in her last moments: asking the doctor what this tube was and what that machine did. She was frantic," he recalled.
"She was deeply interested in God and spirituality her whole life, but she didn't know him. Hence her last moments," he continued. "Her greatest gift to me was to promote, in her dying, the necessity of a relationship with God. Not an interest, not just a belief, but a relationship built on proof as tangible as a hug.
Shia went on to note, "Her last gift to me was the ultimate persuasion for faith. She was a good girl. She was loved by many and known by too few." He then added, "God bless you, Momma."
Shia is the product of an interfaith marriage. He was raised both Jewish and Christian. The "Fury" star, however, confirmed in late August that he's now a Catholic and a member of the Roman Catholic Church after studying for his upcoming film "Padre Pio".
In "Conversations at the Crossroads" with Bishop Robert Barron published on August 25, Shia divulged how his connection to the religion at the lowest point in his life saved him. He said his "life was on fire" prior to familiarizing himself with the religion.
"I had a gun on the table. I was outta here," he confessed. "I didn't want to be alive anymore when all this happened. Shame like I had never experienced before - the kind of shame that you forget how to breathe. You don't know where to go. You can't go outside and get like, a taco."
"I didn't want to be an actor anymore, and my life was a complete mess. I had hurt a lot of people, and I felt deep shame and deep guilt," the father of one admitted. "But I was also in this deep desire to hold on."
