AceShowbiz - Jennifer Aniston couldn't help but laugh. The Rachel Green depicter on "Friends" has shared her reaction after David Schwimmer cheekily recreated her naked shower photo on social media.
Earlier this week, Jennifer took to Instagram to post a steamy picture to promote her new hair care line LolaVie products. In the said snapshot, the 53-year-old actress could be seen posing naked in the shower next to two bottles of the new products. "Something's coming 9.8.22 [shower emoji]," she wrote in the caption.
Then on Wednesday, September 7, her 55-year-old former TV beau teased her with his own nude shower photo. "@jenniferaniston - a towel I hope??" the "American Crime Story" alum captioned an Instagram snap that saw him posing topless in his shower with shampoo foam all over his face.
Jennifer soon caught onto David's joke. The "We're the Millers" star first liked his snap before adding a comment of her own. "Schwim!? Trying to steal my thunder!?" she wrote in the comment section along with a face with one eyebrow raised emoji and a red heart emoji.
Jennifer and David played Ross Geller and Rachel Green, respectively, on all ten seasons of "Friends", which aired from 1994 to 2004. The characters notably dated on-and-off throughout the NBC sitcom's run, which even inspired behind-the-scenes feelings for the two actors.
"The first season, I had a major crush on Jen," David admitted during HBO Max's "Friends: The Reunion" special, which aired in May 2021. "I think at some point we were both crushing hard on each other, but it was like two ships passing because one of us was always in a relationship, and we never crossed that boundary. We respected that."
Jennifer, for her part, noted during the reunion special that her co-star's feelings were reciprocated and that she held out brief hope for an off-screen romance. "I remember saying one time to David, 'It's gonna be such a bummer if the first time you and I actually kiss is going to be on national television,' " she recalled at the time. "Sure enough, the first time we kissed was in that coffee shop. We just channeled all of our adoration and love for each other into Ross and Rachel."
Then in August 2021, Jennifer and David were rumored to be dating after "growing close" bon following the TV reunion special. However, David's representative quickly debunked the rumors, noting that the speculations are "false."
