AceShowbiz - Harry Styles and Nick Kroll definitely know how to break the Internet. The two actors have since gone viral after they kissed each other on the lips during "Don't Worry Darling" standing ovation at Venice Film Festival.
At the event on Monday, September 5, Olivia Wilde's highly-publicized thriller made its global debut, concluding with a five-minute standing ovation. As the audience cheered and clapped, Harry made his way over to his co-star Nick before planting a kiss on his lips and pulling him into an embrace.
The cute moment arrived amid a highly publicized time for the "Don't Worry Darling" cast. Earlier on Monday, Olivia was forced to address rumors of an ongoing feud with the film's female lead, Florence Pugh.
Olivia was joined by the film's stars Chris Pine, Gemma Chan, Florence and Harry. A reporter then asked her, "Can you just clear the air and address if there's been a fall out there and if so why? Because it's something that people are discussing."
In response, Olivia said, "Florence is a force, and we are so grateful that she's able to make it tonight despite being in production on 'Dune'. I know, as a director, how disruptive it is to lose an actor even for a day, so I'm very grateful to her, to Denis Villeneuve for helping us." She added, "And we're really thrilled we'll get to celebrate her work tonight. I can't say enough how honored I am to have her as our lead. She's amazing in the film."
"As for all the endless tabloid gossip and all the noise out there, I mean, the internet feeds itself," Olivia continued. The 38-year-old actress and filmmaker went on stressing, "I don't feel the need to contribute. It's sufficiently well nourished."
Rumors surrounding Olivia and Florence's alleged feud stem from the director's romance with the film's leading man Harry. Though Florence herself has not addressed their relationship and Olivia continues to praise Florence's work in nearly every interview given, Florence's general silence and absence from promoting the film have sent shockwaves of curiosity throughout the industry.
