When revealing the news on Instagram Story, the 'Without Me' singer thanks their concertgoers for 'letting me basically do whatever just to survive the set.'

AceShowbiz - Halsey just had the "worst" show ever. On Saturday, August 27, the "Without Me" singer revealed that they suffered food poisoning while in the U.K. to play at the Reading and Leeds Festival, but the musician is so grateful that they're still alive.

The 27-year-old, whose real name is Ashley Nicolette Frangipane, broke the news via Instagram Story. "I have no idea how I'm still alive after my Leeds set," they penned. "I have terrible food poisoning Still! It started yesterday at 2pm and I somehow made it on stage (after the medical team at the festival were soooo helpful!)."

"I have played shows under some messed up conditions but last night might be the worst in recent memory. Felt like I was on Jupiter the whole time," Halsey continued. "Thank you for being so cool and letting me basically do whatever just to survive the set! You guys would have been an unreal crowd under ANY circumstances let alone those. Time to rest now 4 Reading tomorrow.

It was not the only unpleasant gig for Halsey. In June, the mom of one lashed out at fans who walked out of their Arizona concert due to their abortion rights speech. "The 'people pay to see you sing not hear your views' argument is so dumb," they angrily tweeted on June 29.

"You paid to see me use a stage as a form of expression in the manner that I choose. Sorry you lack the critical thinking to realize that the rhetorical power of music doesn't always serve your escapism," the "Bad at Love" singer went on scolding those criticizing them.

Halsey's sharp message came after one particular fan gave confirmation that many concertgoers ditched their gig in response to their on-stage addressing of the Roe v. Wade overturning. In response to the fan's tweet, they also replied by tweeting back, "downside of doing outdoor venues: no door to hit them on the way out."
