After Missy posts a question whether there's 'a difference between a hit and a classic record,' one person on the blue-bird app calls her 'miserable and messy.'

AceShowbiz - Missy Elliott's recent tweet has angered Nicki Minaj's fans. The Barbz believed that the "Get Ur Freak On" raptress was shading their idol after posting a question on the blue-bird app.

"I have a question…Is there a difference between A Hit & A Classic record or no?" the 51-year-old asked to her followers. "And if so what is this difference?"

Some people, however, believed that Missy was shading Nicki. "Missy Elliott always have something to say surrounding Nicki Minaj indirectly," one person in particular vented. "I see her dirty spirit. It's been like that for years. Give it up mama."

"Missy so miserable and messy, b***h don't let me get started. These old b***hes really mad and miserable. Go pay ya rent and stay in ya bum a** place," she added. "These old and new school b***hes make me sick!!! Nicki can't win for either generation of female rappers."

Upon learning of the backlash, Missy's online devotees came to her defense, with one writing, "Missy Elliott has never had a beef in her entire career." The individual added, "Nicki Minaj stans are desperate for a problem. Firstly, Missy Elliott is quite literally [your] favs fav, actually, [your] favs founder." Another argued, "Saying Missy Elliott doesn't have any hits or classics is proof that just because you stan Nicki Minaj does not mean you know hip hop."

The Virginia-born artist herself was seemingly unfazed by the attack. "I love so many of yall answers. This was a back & forth with my producer friends over https://music.Is there a difference between Classics & hits & he said it's more preference. So y'all helped," she noted. "A few chose 2 be hurtful but understand this came from a positive place."
