The 'Girls Need Love' hitmaker's response arrives days after Diddy sparked debate with his comments about RnB when he hopped on an Instagram Live with Summer, Timbaland, Jermaine Dupri and others.

AceShowbiz - Summer Walker is among musicians who weigh in on Sean "P. Diddy" Combs' controversial comments that "R&B is dead." Instead of being angry, the R&B singer took to her TikTok account to share her hilarious reaction to the remarks.

In the said video, which Summer shared on Wednesday, August 24, the "CPR" hitmaker was seen looking dead-panned while lying on the bed. Toward the end of the clip, she looked at the camera while still sporting her expressionless face.

"Me when Diddy said r&b is dead," so the "Girls Need Love" wrote over the clip. Meanwhile, she explained in the caption, "This was my 1st reaction lol its okay now we talked about it , I understand his point of view."

The "Still Over It" singer's post arrived days after Diddy sparked debate by saying that R&B is "dead" while hopping on an Instagram Live session with Timbaland, Jermaine Dupri, Summer and others. "R&B is muthaf**kin' dead as of right now," the music mogul, who recently launched his R&B-focused label, Love Records, said. "The R&B I made my babies to? R&B gotta be judged to a certain thing-it's the feeling though, doggy. No, no, no. It's a feeling. You gotta be able to sing for R&B and then you gotta tell the truth. R&B is not a hustle. This s**t is about feeling your vulnerability."

After receiving mixed reactions both from musicians and fans, Diddy attempted to do a damage control. He clarified his comments in a series of tweets on Saturday. "It's been 3 days of the debate…This is the clarity of the message…It's not disrespect to anybody," he explained. "This conversation was out of love and me purposely wanting to bring attention to R&B!"

He added, "It was something that I saw the effect of the Hip hop and R&B balance. That balance is honesty and realness when it comes together, melodies, vulnerability and most importantly LOVE!!! This message is that R&B game needs more love, vulnerability, support!!"
