The Thor depicter in Marvel Cinematic Universe is completely unrecognizable with a scruffy beard and prosthetic nose in photos taken from the set of the 'Mad Max' prequel.

AceShowbiz - Another sneak peek at the upcoming "Mad Max" prequel "Furiosa" has been released. Making its way out online, the new photos give a first look at Chris Hemsworth's costume in the upcoming film.

In photos circulating online on Tuesday, August 23, the 39-year-old star looked incredibly unrecognizable as he filmed scenes for "Furiosa" in Sydney. He sported a prosthetic nose and wore a dirty black and yellow vest, jeans and boots as he strolled through the post-apocalyptic set.

Chris also donned a fake, graying beard and long greasy wig. The actor portraying Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe also flaunted his bulging forearms and washboard abs. In one photo, the "Thor: Love and Thunder" star was spotted jumping into the driver's seat of a huge tank-like vehicle as he prepared for a scene. An excited crowd of extras was seen surrounding the actor as he got to work.

In July, set photos revealed a close look at Chris' character. In pictures obtained by Daily Mail, the "Extraction" star was spotted looking terrifying as he embraced a thick burgundy beard. At the time, it was hard to get a good look at his costume as he donned a long coat covering his overalls.

Chris announced that filming on "Furiosa" had officially begun in June. To mark the production kick-off on June 1, the Hollywood hunk shared the first photo from the set. Making use of his social media accounts, he posted an image of the film's slate which is placed in the middle of the desert.

"A new journey in the Mad Max saga begins #FURIOSA #georgemiller," Chris captioned it, tagging his co-star Anya Taylor-Joy and photographer Jasin Boland, who reposted it on his own Instagram page. "Time to get your #warboy on… So stoked to be with these guys again!" the photographer wrote in the caption of his own post.

True to the title, "Furiosa" centers on the title character, who was portrayed by Charlize Theron in "Mad Max: Fury Road". Anya landed the lead role of the young Furiosa in the upcoming movie.

As for Chris, his role has not been officially disclosed, but when his casting rumors swirled back in 2020, it was said that he was circling the role of a villain called Dementus. Tom Burke is also cast for an undisclosed role. The movie eyes a May 24, 2024 release date.
