The 'Diamonds' hitmaker has been urged by the Rihanna Navy to release her long-awaited ninth album as she hasn't released any for the past six years since her 2016's 'Anti'.

AceShowbiz - Rihanna has left her fans disappointed. The Rihanna Navy are not happy after the "Diamonds" hitmaker decided to launch a new Fenty Beauty collection instead of new music.

On Monday, August 22, the 34-year-old musician and beauty mogul debuted a new makeup product, a $25 limited-edition palette filled with "six packets that each contain either ketchup or lip gloss." For the new item, she teamed up with the art collective MSCHF.

Fans are not amused over the new drop and shared their thoughts in the comment section of Fenty Beauty's announcement post on Instagram. Sounding off, one person wrote, "Literally everything but music." A second added, "We want new music," while another stressed, "JUST RELEASE THE ALBUM RIHANNA DAMN."

Others, meanwhile, criticized the product's price with one Instagram user saying, "I'm sorry but who wants to spend $25 to end up getting ketchup packets." Someone else suggested that Rihanna may be busy with her new baby boy, who she welcomed with baby daddy A$AP Rocky in May, writing, "Is Rihanna still on maternity leaveā€¦ who signed off?" Another chimed in, "Are the packets resealable if it is gloss? I have so many questions."

Indeed, the Rihanna Navy has been waiting for the Grammy-winning artist's ninth album as she hasn't released any in six years. Earlier this year, VIBE reporter Mya Abraham, who considers herself "part of the Navy," said, " 'Anti' was everything. And then [Rihanna] was like, 'Yo, I'm done.' " Mya added, "[Rihanna] was just like, 'That was everything that I had at that moment for one album, and I'm gonna take a break and put [my energy] into other things.' "

Rihanna has teased fans on social media that new music is coming for a couple of years, there were even rumors swirling around that she was working on a reggae album at one point. However, no firm plans to release anything have been revealed. Back in 2020, Rihanna assured her fans that she's "very aggressively working on music." She said during an interview with British Vogue, "I can't say when I'm going to drop. But I am very aggressively working on music."
