In the latest episode of 'Rap Radar' podcast, the 31-year-old hip-hop artist also weighs in on wild speculations that the iconic Atlanta trio is splitting up.

AceShowbiz - Quavo has finally addressed Takeoff's absence from "Bad and Boujee". In a new interview, the 31-year-old hip-hop artist explained the real reasons why his fellow Migos member wasn't on the track amid the group's breakup rumors.

Speaking to Elliott Wilson and B. Dot during the latest episode of "Rap Radar" podcast, Huncho chalked the omission up to timing and the song being a rush job. "Was there something about 'Bad and Boujee' why you didn't wanna rap on that beat?" host Elliott asked Takeoff, who joined his fellow Migos member during the sit-down. "Like, why wasn't you on the song when it came out?"

Though the question was directed at Takeoff, Quavo immediately jumped in with an explanation. "I just think it was just timing," Quavo said, with Takeoff signaling his agreement. "We was just trying to get something out. We was actually pissed off because we ain't have no music out. I think like a couple months before that whole little wave," Quavo further shared. "We was going through the litigation with 300 [Entertainment], so we ended up leaking 'Bad and Boujee' on SoundCloud first."

Quavo went on to say the group was under such a serious time crunch and even he wasn't supposed to appear on the track. "S**t, I wasn't even finna be on it," he continued. "I had to do my verse on some quick, fast, in-a-rush s**t. So it was just like everybody running to the song and trying to get it done."

Produced by Metro Boomin, "Bad and Boujee" marked the first No. 1 song for the ATL trio and featured Lil Uzi Vert. The song earned the rappers a nod for Best Rap Performance at the 60th Grammy Awards and went quadruple platinum.

One of the most-talked-about moments involving the track went down on the 2017 BET Awards red carpet. While speaking to Migos, DJ Akademiks asked Takeoff about his absence. "I feel like that's a running joke, with you being left off 'Bad and Boujee', " Akademiks said. "I ain't left off 'Bad and Boujee', " Takeoff responded. "You think I'm left off 'Bad and Boujee'?"

That aside, rumors that Migos may be splitting up have hit the Internet after Offset and his wife Cardi B unfollowed his two groupmates, Quavo and Takeoff, on Instagram. Reacting to the social media gestures, Migos fans wondered whether the group had split up. "Damn this really the end for the migos? Why else would offset unfollow quavo and takeoff," one person asked, with another curious fan adding, "Wait..Quavo unfollowed Offset and Takeoff…so Migos ain't amigos no mo?"

Adding some fuel to the speculations, Quavo and Takeoff will perform at the upcoming Pepsi National Battle of the Bands without their bandmate, Offset. "Just Announced: Migos will perform at the 2022 Pepsi National Battle of the Bands presented by Toyota on Aug. 27 at NRG Stadium in #HTown," read the announcement which was published in July.
