The 'Wolverine' actor, who often shared photos of him and Dali while taking on beach trips or walking on the mean streets of Manhattan, offers his final tributes to his dog by posting cute photos of the two.

AceShowbiz - Hugh Jackman is mourning the death of his beloved dog, Dali. "The Greatest Showman" actor announced the devastating news via Instagram by posting some photos of him and the canine cuddling up together.

"It's a very sad day for our family. Dali, our beloved Frenchie, passed away last night," the 53-year-old wrote in the Friday, August 6 Instagram post. "He would've been 12 next month … which I'm told is a long life for this breed."

"I always, always called him the ROCKSTAR. Because he was! He marched to the beat of his own drum, was beloved by the whole world, and boy did he have a good life," he added. "We will miss him but know he's howling in heaven, ruling the roost and enjoying the all you can eat buffet. RIP Dali Rockstar Jackman. We love you!"

Hugh adopted Dali in 2010. The "Logan" star often shared photos of him and his pet while taking on beach trips or walking on the mean streets of Manhattan. The Australian hunk has another dog, a poodle-terrier mix named Allegra.

The news arrived nearly two months after Hugh tested positive for COVID-19 once again. He came forward with his diagnosis just one day after performing "The Music Man" at the 2022 Tony Awards on June 12.

"I've frustratingly tested positive for Covid. Again," Hugh wrote on his Instagram page alongside a video of him breaking the sad news. As he was forced to miss upcoming performances of "The Music Man", the star noted, "My standby, the amazingly talented @maxmclayton will step in for me."

"What's most annoying is I don't get to see him perform! I've said it before, and will say it a million times more … Maxi and all the standbys, swings and understudies around the world, you are the true heroes of theater," the husband of Deborra-Lee Furness continued. "You give life to the saying 'the show must go on'."
