AceShowbiz - Naomi Osaka and YBN Cordae are brushing off rumors that they went their separate ways. The tennis superstar and the "Chronicles" rapper have made it clear that their romance is still going strong.
On Wednesday, August 3, the 24-year-old professional tennis player turned to her Twitter account to address the gossip. Having fun with the erroneous reports of her breakup, she posted a picture of the couple looking at her phone. "us looking at twitter yesterday," she captioned the photo, adding a skull and a laughing face with tears emoji. In a separate post, she penned, "People really just believe anything and run with whatever lol."
In response, her fans urged her to stay focused on herself amid the Silicon Valley Classic tournament, with one writing, "Focus on you. Make yourself happy just never deliberately at anyone's expense and you're fine. Nice win tonight. You looked awesome out there. Have a great rest of the tournament. You deserve it. Take care."
Another supporter replied to her tweet, "Even if they did break up whose business is it but those two." The said person later praised Naomi for defeating Qinwen Zheng at the Silicon Valley Classic, as writing, "you're the fkn goat @naomiosaka ! Awesome match today and way to give props to Zheng when she hit a nice serve. AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME."
Earlier that day, sources close to the couple told TMZ Sports that they are "actually doing better than ever" and most definitely still "happily in love." The so-called insiders also noted that the pair "have been spending even more time together" over the last few weeks.
The internet had been rife with speculation since early July when Naomi tweeted, "If a guy constantly has to tell you he's a good guy, there's about a 1000% chance he's not." The tweet has since been deleted.
Naomi and Cordae began publicly dating in 2019. The professional athlete and the hip-hop artist have since been supportive of each other's jobs, with the 24-year-old rapper showing up to several tennis matches.
