AceShowbiz - Leona Lewis has officially become a mother. Having welcomed her first child with husband Dennis Jauch, the "Bleeding Love" hitmaker took to social media to offer the first glimpse of their newborn daughter.
On Tuesday, August 2, the 37-year-old shared on Instagram a photo of herself holding her and her spouse's little bundle of joy. In the caption of the post, she gushed, "And then there were three [a pink heart emoji] Our little Carmel Allegra arrived 22.7.22."
Dennis also shared the snap on his own Instagram page. The post arrived more than a month after he showered his wife with compliments as he wrote alongside photos of the two, "just can't stop staring at this. so proud of this stunner for powering through this challenging but most beautiful time. We can't wait to meet our little one."
Leona confirmed her pregnancy back in March. At that time, the then-pregnant musician treated her fans to a picture of herself debuting her baby bump while donning a tight black sweater dress. "Can't wait to meet you in the Summer," she wrote.
Also sharing the exciting news was Dennis. Posting the same image, the German-born choreographer and creative director said that Leona's pregnancy was the "Biggest gift I could've asked for coming this Summer." He also gushed over his wife, dubbing her "one hot a** Mama."
Leona and Dennis have been together since 2012. They first met on her "The Labyrinth" tour where he was one of her backup dancers. They later tied the knot in Tuscany, Italy, in July 2019 after dating for eight years.
In July last year, Dennis shared a heartfelt tribute to Leona to mark their wedding anniversary, "I can't believe it's been 2 years since we said 'yes'!!! So much has happened since then...the world is literally upside down, but being in this with you by my side as my most stunning wife makes it all feel like a walk in the park," he wrote. "Thank you for being my ride or die through it all. It's only the beginning of our beautiful journey together."
