When addressing her reconciliation with her dad, the former 'Chrisley Knows Best' star denies that they reconnect due to his and Julie Chrisley's legal trouble.

AceShowbiz - Lindsie Chrisley has opened up about her reconciliation with her dad, Todd Chrisley. When hosting her "The Southern Tea" podcast, the former "Chrisley Knows Best" star detailed how her divorce from Will Campbell helped them "reconnect" after being estranged for years.

"The most common question I think is people wanting to know if we reconnected because of the trial or because of my divorce," the 32-year-old said. "I can confidently tell you there was no reconnection due to any legal reasons whatsoever. Nothing like that ever transpired."

Lindsie went on to note, "After my divorce stuff had become public, my dad had posted, 'I'm here, I love you, whatever's going on in your life right now I see it.' " She then shared, "That's really more so how we were able to reconnect. So, to answer that question - in short, it was definitely because of my divorce."

Lindsie, who wed Will in January 2012, announced their split on July 27, 2021. "While one door closes, another opens. It's with the deepest sadness that, after 9 years of marriage, Will & I have mutually decided to end our marriage," she declared on Instagram.

"Personally, I am focusing on the new beginnings ahead & a fresh space with the move this week," the mother of one added. "We maintain the greatest respect & love for one another, & we're so grateful for our time together. We will continue to remain friends & be devoted parents to our son whom we both love very much."

After Lindise broke the news, Todd showed his support in an episode of the "Chrisley Confessions" podcast. "Lindsie and I have been estranged for several years. We do not speak, we have no form of communication... so no, we did not know [the split]," he said at that time.

"With that being said... our prayers go out to you, we love you, we wish you and Jackson, Will and the entire Campbell family nothing but the very best," the film producer continued. "I pray for all of my children every day, every night before I got to bed, every morning when I raise my head. So I will continue to do so."

Todd and his wife Julie Chrisley were found guilty of bank fraud and tax evasion. They received the guilty verdict on June 7. The couple was found guilty on all 12 counts, including wire fraud, conspiracy to commit bank fraud and conspiracy to defraud the United States. Their former accountant Peter Tarantino was also found guilty of conspiracy to defraud the United States and willfully file false tax returns.
