AceShowbiz - Drake got personal at the annual OVO Fest. In addition to bringing out Nelly Furtado at the Toronto concert, the Canadian superstar got to reunite with his first girlfriend Keshia Chante that night.
Drizzy gave a special shout-out to Keshia when welcoming her on the stage. "This next person coming to the stage," he told the crowd at Toronto venue History on Thursday night, July 28, "I used to get in my mom's car and I used to drive all the way to the west for this one right here, you feel me?"
"So I have to personally introduce her," Drake said ahead of the TV personality's set. "This is my first girlfriend I ever had in my life coming to the stage. A real legend, somebody I love with all my heart."
When Keshia walked out, the crowd went wild as the former lovers shared an embrace. Keshia went on to perform some of her hits and she commemorated the night with a post on her Instagram account.
"Legendary Nights in Toronto," the 34-year-old wrote along with photos and videos of her performing at the music festival. "I've never seen the city come together like that!! It was everything. A dream only @champagnepapi could make true. The most heartfelt and meaningful introduction I've ever had. Aubs I love u for life."
She continued to praise the 6ix, writing, "Performing songs I dropped in my teen years and hearing you sing all the words, made my soul so happy. Such a beautiful memory I will cherish forever. Toronto you have been riding for me since the very beginning and I am so grateful for the love."
"Also special shout out to everyone at the very beginning of my career who literally broke these records and are the reason my mama has certified plaques in her crib lol," she added, "DJ Scott Boogie, DJ Starting from Scratch, DJ X, Mark Strong & Jemini, Flow & Kiss FM, DJ Duece, Hadi & so many other important people. I love you. From immature kids to entrepreneur kids!!"
Keshia is long rumored to be the "KiKi" that Drake sings about on "In My Feelings". The two dated back when he was 14, and grew up together in Toronto. According to Genius, in a 2013 episode of BET's "106 & Park", he told her, "You were one of my first crushes, and a lot of people might not know this, but I actually rapped about you before."
