Ella Mai Enlists Roddy Ricch's Help to Kill Her Lover in 'How' Visuals
Music

When speaking about the track, which was released back in May, the English singer claims it is 'one of my favorite tracks' on her second album, 'Heart on My Sleeve'.

AceShowbiz - Ella Mai has treated fans to a cinematic music video for "How" ft. Roddy Ricch. In the visuals, which was released on Wednesday, July 27, the Grammy Award-winning singer asks her collaborator's help to kill her lover.

Ella is visibly upset by her partner, who likes to get close to other women. Since then, she makes a plan to get rid of him. Fast forward, the songstress gets a small bottle of poison from the rapper.

The 27-year-old musician eventually puts the liquid into her lover's meal. Unaware of the poison, her significant other eats the food and he subsequently falls out of his chair gasping for breath. The English native, for her part, cracks a slight grin across her face.

"How could you turn?/ How could you switch it up on me in my darkest hour?/ How could you?/ How, how could you turn?" she sings in the chorus. "How could you switch it up on me? Yeah/ Switch it up on me, yeah."

"How" serves as one of the tracks off Ella's second album "Heart on My Sleeve". Speaking about the song, she explained, "When I first started recording my album Heart On My Sleeve, I told Mustard that I had to have Roddy as one of the features."

"We made it happen and 'How' was born! It's one of my favorite tracks on the album where I had the pleasure of collaborating with two incredible artists in their own right and I'm really excited to share the visuals with the world," she continued. "It was also an honor to have the legendary Colin Tilley direct another video for me. I hope everyone loves it as much as I do!"

Ella dropped "Heart on My Sleeve" on May 6. Upon its release, the project debuted at No. 2 on Billboard's Top R&B Albums chart. The 15-track set also stole the No. 9 spot on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums list. It also reached No. 15 on the all-genre Billboard 200, both dated May 21.
