In a new interview, the ex of the MTV personality shares how he's feeling after an Indiana judge awarded him primary physical and sole legal custody of their 4-year-old son James.

AceShowbiz - Amber Portwood's ex Andrew Glennon is relieved with how things turn out in his custody battle against the "Teen Mom" star. In a new interview, Andrew shared how he's feeling after an Indiana judge awarded him primary physical and sole legal custody of their 4-year-old son James.

"We endured the nightmare," Andrew revealed to E! News after the official court ruling had been made. He went on to say, "Now we get to live the dream."

According to court documents obtained by The Sun, Andrew was given primary and physical custody of James. During the ruling on Wednesday, July 27, the judge also granted the cinematographer's request to relocate their little one from Indiana to California. Andrew, however, was advised to "seek out and consider the mother's opinion before making any major decisions relating to the child's medical treatment, education and religion."

As for Amber, she claimed in a statement that she wouldn't stop fighting for her kids despite losing her custody of James. "I've worked so hard to better myself and improve my relationships with my children," the 32-year-old said in a statement. "While I've always been candid about my past substance abuse and struggles with mental illness, a person should have the chance to redeem themselves and not be tethered to their problems from the past."

The MTV star added, "I've spent years rebuilding bridges and did everything that was required of me, including submitting 21 negative drug tests and undergoing multiple psychological evaluations. If your road has not been perfect, but you've worked hard to become a better, more stable and caring person today, keep moving forward as I will. I'll never stop fighting for my children who I love more than anything."

Amber, who also shares 13-year-old Leah with ex Gary Shirley, has been granted overnights under the new custody arrangement. The agreement reportedly will be phased in incremental time frames. She will start having three days of visitation including overnights in California first with Andrew bringing James to Indiana in the following month.
