Fans even urged producers to cast the actress portraying Emerald Haywood in 'Nope' as the Athena Grant depicter on '9‑1‑1' after she slays the impersonation in her latest interview.

AceShowbiz - Keke Palmer is unexpectedly trending on Twitter for her impersonating skill. The name of the Emerald Haywood depicter in "Nope" trended on the blue bird app after a video of her impersonating Angela Bassett went viral.

In the Tuesday, July 19 interview with WIRED, the "Alice" actress took an Autocomplete Interview and answered the Internet's most searched questions about herself. One question read, "Who does Keke Palmer look like?" Responding to the question, she said, "That means that people have been looking at me and being like, 'She looks like somebody and I know the person.' "

"Who they've been telling me..I look like my entire life.. Halle Berry," Keke continued, before adding with a laugh, "Nope, I'm kidding. I look better." The 28-year-old actress then said, "Angela Bassett. Everybody always tells me I look like Angela Bassett and I've always done an impression of Angela Bassett."

Keke then started to do two impressions of Angela. "So there's one impression I do from 'American Dream: The Michael Jackson Story', where she finds out that her husband's been cheating on her. And she's like answers the phone and hears him on the other line talking to somebody," she explained.

"And she's like, 'You a liar and you a cheater. And I don't want you, I don't want you, I don't want you no more,' " Keke mimicked Angela. She then said, "And with Angela, it's all in the lips, it's all in the lips."

Keke then impersonated Angela in Tina Turner's biopic "What's Love Got to Do With It". "When she's talking to her friend and her friend is like not messing around with Laurence Fishburne's character, Ike Turner. She's not dealing with him being abusive," she detailed, before impersonating Angela, "And then Angela Bassett's like, 'It's okay, it's okay,' " adding Angela's signature lips movements.

Upon learning of Keke's impersonation, Twitter users applauded her and some even urged producers to cast her as Angela in a biopic. "How has KeKe not played Angela's daughter in a movie!?" one person tweeted. Another chimed in, "But she look so much like her that it's like she really transformed into Angela lol [laughing with tears emoji]." A third added, "She should really play Angela in her biopic."

"Keke Palmer & Angela Bassett need to be a mother daughter thing in something. Anything," someone else opined. A separate user suggested, "She could play Angela Basset if she wanted to though! She did good impersonating her."

A social media user commented, "I just realized how much keke looks like Angela Bassett. I never saw it till she did the impression," with another noting that Angela once played Keke's mom in "Akeelah and the Bee".
