An attorney for the 'Outside Today' spitter says his client got emotional and started to cry when the verdict was read since it's been a stressful and emotional situation for him.

AceShowbiz - NBA YoungBoy a.k.a. YoungBoy Never Broke Again has scored a victory in his federal gun case. The jury found the young hip-hop star not guilty of a charge of illegal firearms possession over a loaded handgun found in his car last year.
The verdict was announced on Friday, July 15 after a 3-day trial. It has been confirmed by both YoungBoy's lawyer Andre Belanger and the U.S. Attorney's Office.
Following the outcome that was in favor of YoungBoy, his attorney told TMZ that his client got emotional, putting his head down and starting to cry when the verdict was read because it's been a stressful and emotional situation for him. While walking out the courtroom, the 22-year-old exclaimed, "I was never guilty of this," according to his lawyer. He additionally told Rolling Stone that he is "feeling great" after the verdict.
Meanwhile, the U.S. Attorney's Office in Los Angeles was understandably "disappointed" with the verdict as they believed there was enough evidence to support the charges. "We believe the evidence presented in this case supported the charges brought by the grand jury," said a spokesperson for the Attorney's Office. The rep added though, "While we are disappointed with the verdict, we respect the jury's decision."
YoungBoy's legal victory was celebrated by his fans, who were rooting for the star from outside the courtroom. In videos circulating online, they jumped in joy and started rapping the lyrics to "I Hate YoungBoy" when the verdict was read.
YoungBoy's mentor Birdman was also excited to hear the news. Congratulating his protege on the verdict, he posted a video of the two of them on Instagram and wrote along with it, "A real n***a won NOT GUILTY NBACMRG."
YoungBoy was arrested in Los Angeles in March 2021 on an arrest warrant stemming from his September 2020 arrest in Baton Rouge. He attempted to flee, but after a search that involved using a K9, the "Outside Today" rhymer was found and booked on federal firearms charges. He was released from jail on a $1.5 million bail in October after serving 7 months and was sentenced to pre-trial house arrest in Utah.
