AceShowbiz - Donald Trump has offered his final tribute to his ex-wife, Ivana Trump. Upon learning that she died at the age of 73, the former president admitted that he was "saddened" by the devastating news.
"I am very saddened to inform all of those that loved her, of which there are many, that Ivana Trump has passed away at her home in New York City," the former POTUS wrote in a post shared on Truth Social, his social media platform. "She was a wonderful, beautiful, and amazing woman, who led a great and inspirational life."
"Her pride and joy were her three children, Donald Jr., Ivanka, and Eric," the Republican added. "She was so proud of them, as we were all so proud of her. Rest In Peace, Ivana!"
Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump and Eric Trump, meanwhile, spoke about their mom's death in a joint statement. "It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Ivana Trump," so read the statement. "Our mother was an incredible woman - a force in business, a world-class athlete, a radiant beauty, and caring mother and friend."
"Ivana Trump was a survivor. She fled from communism and embraced this country. She taught her children about grit and toughness, compassion and determination," they added. "She will be dearly missed by her mother, her three children and ten grandchildren."
Ivanka continued to honor her mom on her own Instagram page. "Heartbroken by the passing of my mother. Mom was brilliant, charming, passionate and wickedly funny. She modeled strength, tenacity and determination in her every action," she wrote alongside photos of the two.
"She lived life to the fullest - never forgoing an opportunity to laugh and dance," the 40-year-old further noted. "I will miss her forever and will keep her memory alive in our hearts always."
According to Page Six, Ivana was found dead on Thursday, July 14. She reportedly went into cardiac arrest and police were dispatched to her Upper East Side apartment at 12:40 P.M. ET.
Ivana and Donald tied the knot in 1977. They called it quits in 1992 amid news of the businessman's affair with actress Marla Maples, to whom he was married from 1993 to 1999. His now-wife is Melania Trump, whom he married in 2005.
