The 'Certified Lover Boy' artist's lookalike Izzy Drake, who recently made headlines after being kicked out of a nightclub, has been banned from the photo-sharing app for violating the policy.

AceShowbiz - Drake's fans are happy to finally say goodbye to Fake Drake. The "Certified Lover Boy" artist's lookalike has gotten removed from Instagram for impersonating the Toronto rapper for months.

On Sunday, July 3, DJ Akademiks took to Instagram to break the news. Along with a screenshot of a tweet that includes a collage picture of Izzy Drake and Drizzy and a caption that read, "Fake Drake Was Banned From Instagram For Impersonating Drake!", he wrote, "Naaa… don't tell me even Instagram was sick of it."

In the comment section, many Instagram users celebrated the news, including comedian Druski and social media star Fatboy. Druski simply wrote, "Hallelujah," while Fatboy commented, "THANK YOU GOD HE GET UNDER MY SKIN [laugh with tears emoji] SUPER CORNY I GET THE HUSTLE BUT HE DOING TOO MUCH."

Others, in the meantime, believed that Drake was the one who reported Izzy to Meta. "Drake made that happen," one person suggested with another adding, "Obviously Drake told them to do it. He's tired of it." Another chimed in, "Nah drake was tired of it and called his ppl at instagram."

The news arrived just a few days after Izzy challenged Drake to a $1 million celebrity boxing match. Per TMZ, Izzy directly asked the real Drake to duke it out, saying in a video that he'll drop the impersonation if he loses the match.

"It's your boy Izzy Drake, OVO tings, you already know we outside. I just signed with Celebrity Boxing," he said in the video. "August 27th, I'm calling Drake out for a friendly boxing match. If I win, you gotta sign me to OVO you gotta give me a million dollars. If you win, I'll change my name. It's an OVO ting, you already know."

Prior to that, Drake seemingly hinted that he doesn't condone a fan pretending to be him. After a video that saw Izzy getting booted from a nightclub in Houston went viral, the "God's Plan" hitmaker was caught liking the clip.

After the embarrassing moment was caught on camera, Izzy went on Instagram Live to explain the incident. Izzy, who previously said Drake gave him a stamp of approval to imitate him, claimed that it was staged to help promote Drake's new dance album "Honestly, Nevermind".

"I don't need security. I walked in there, they saw the OVO chain. They said, 'Oh yo, come in,' " Izzy claimed. "I went to the front where the stage is and we staged that s**t for Drake's promo."

Izzy's career as Drake's doppelganger jump-started in October 2021 when he was seen at Club LIV in Miami wearing an OVO tracksuit. At the time, Tory Lanez even posted a clip that saw Izzy hanging out with Lil Wayne to his Instagram Story.
