AceShowbiz - Pete Davidson and Olivia O'Brien are apparently not in full agreement about what their relationship was. After the singer confirmed that she and the New York City native were an item, the comedian has begged to differ.
While the 22-year-old songstress believed they once had a romantic relationship, the feelings were seemingly not mutual as the 28-year-old funnyman has stated that they were just "friends." A rep for Pete tells E! News, "There is no truth to this," referring to Olivia's dating claims. The rep stresses that the pair "were friends and hung [out] a few times."
Olivia spoke about her alleged romantic relationship with Pete during an appearance on the "BFFs: with Dave Portnoy, Josh Richards and Brianna Chickenfry" podcast. In the sit-down, the hosts brought up an anonymous post sent to DeuxMoi which read, "I have it on good authority that pete and phoebe are in fact an item. He ended things with B-list popstar/influencer he had been seeing beforehand for phoebe."
While Olivia insisted she had no idea "anyone knew about that," she admitted they were once dating, but he broke things off with her via text to start seeing "Bridgerton" actress Phoebe Dynevor. She said, "He texted me and was like, 'I'm seeing someone else. 'So, like, I can't.' "
Despite their supposed split, Olivia has no hard feelings toward Pete, calling him a "nice guy." The "Call Mom" singer gushed over the "Saturday Night Live" alum, "He's hot and he's really funny. And he's really sweet. He's a really sweet guy."
Pete is currently dating Kim Kardashian after she hosted an "SNL" episode in 2021. He was previously romantically linked to several A-listers, including Ariana Grande, whom he was briefly engaged to in 2018, Kaia Gerber and Kate Beckinsale. Meanwhile, his relationship with Phoebe ended in August 2021 after five months of dating.
