The 'Calling My Phone' spitter, who was shot in Edgewater, New Jersey in the early hours of June 22, reportedly has his breathing tube removed amid his recovery.

AceShowbiz - Lil Tjay's condition is seemingly getting better after he got shot in New Jersey one week prior. It was unveiled that the "Calling My Phone" rapper is awake and speaking on his own.
Revealing Tjay's current condition was TMZ. Sources further told the outlet that "doctors recently removed his breathing tube, and when speaking, his voice sounds just like it did before the scary incident."
The insiders noted that the 21-year-old emcee was shot multiple times in the chest and neck area. Now that he's able to communicate, police want to ask him further details regarding the incident.
Tjay, whose real name is Tione Jayden Merritt, was reportedly shot in Edgewater, New Jersey in the early hours of June 22. TMZ reported at the time that there were two shooting sites, one at a Chipotle Restaurant and another at a nearby Exxon Gas station.
The Edgewater Police Department and the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office confirmed on Twitter that one victim was upgraded from critical to a stable condition. The other, meanwhile, was rushed to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and is currently in good spirits.
Upon learning the news of the incidents, fellow emcee French Montana offered his prayers to Tjay by writing, "Pray for my lil bro lil Tjay." His ex-girlfriend Rubi Rose also tweeted, "Pray for tjay."
Casanova, in the meantime, penned on Instagram Story, "N***a you know better!!!" He added, "Praying for you from my jail cell lil bro. You gonna be alright tough times don't last long only tough people do. And you a bad mother f**ka!!! When you get out stop by the crib and pick that bullet proof up!!! @liltajy."
It was later revealed that three men who were involved in the shooting has been arrested. One of them was Mohamed Konate of New York City, who has been charged with three counts of first-degree attempted murder. The 27-year-old also faces armed robbery and weapons charges.
Konate is accused of firing multiple shots at Tjay and his entourage during an attempted robbery in Edgewater, New Jersey in the early hours of Wednesday morning. The hip-hop star was airlifted to Hackensack University Medical Center in critical condition but was then described as stable after undergoing surgery.
