The podcast host is accused of covering up his controversial comments about sleeping with minors by bringing up his past drama with the 'Kiss Me More' hitmaker.

AceShowbiz - DJ Akademiks is feeling the heat after he brought up his past beef with Doja Cat. The YouTuber was heavily mocked after he exposed the "Kiss Me More" hitmaker's DMs in which she called him "a low-piece of s**t."
During the Monday, June 20 episode of "Off the Record" podcast, DJ Akademiks discussed his past feud with Doja. "[She] sent me a bunch of messages," he said of the 26-year-old. "It was weird, it was when I was covering the whole thing about like... She was in some white supremacist chat rooms," he added, mentioning a past scandal that the "Planet Her" hitmaker found herself immersed in a while back.
DJ Akademiks went on to say that his coverage of the resurfacing made Doja "really upset." He told guest DJ Vlad, "She was like, 'This is why I don't like you, man. This the only reason.' " The 31-year-old podcast host then played a voice memo from Doja, "This is why I don't like you, man. The problem is you exploit people. You exploit people's depression. You exploit people's mistakes. And you try to bring attention to things that don't need attention. And it makes you a sick person."
DJ Akademiks told DJ Vlad, "I said, 'That's cool, I don't like anyone either.' She's like, 'You're a low-life piece of s**t.' I was laughing, and she was like, 'I really don't like you at all.' " The online entertainer said he told Doja to "get in [her] feelings some more" before she responded with, "It's easy for someone like you to say that with no feelings."
"I literally was trying to tell her, 'Yo, listen. You're popular now, this is a game,' " DJ Akademiks continued. "Right? Like if I came from some weird s**t, people are gonna have a few questions about it. I don't sit here judging her for that now," he said of the past drama.
Shortly after the podcast aired, many blasted DJ Akademiks and defended Doja. "He tryna bring this up again to distract folks from the fact he like lil girls & was bhad babie number 1 only fans subscriber," one person commented. Another simply opined, "Sis ain't wrong though."
A separate person accused DJ Akademiks of covering up the heat that followed his recent comments about sleeping with minors. "He wants us to forget abt his predatory behavior and its not happening," the said person wrote. Someone else stressed, "He's trying to be relevant again after coming out as a predator."
