AceShowbiz - City Girls have teamed up with Usher for a new track called "Good Love". During an interview backstage at the Hot 97 Summer Jam, the hip-hop duo revealed the release date of the upcoming collaborative single.
JT and Yung Miami divulged that the song will hit streaming services on Friday, June 24. JT then raved, "It's a good, good, song. Fun, make you feel good, music. You know what the City Girls do."
The announcement arrived after JT and Miami released "Top Notch" featuring Fivio Foreign. The song was given a music video treatment, which sees the three hip-hop stars taking over New York City. They deliver their fiery bars on street corners with their crew.
Not everyone was happy with the track though. Following its release, one person wrote on Twitter, "So everyone just doing drill now?" It prompted JT to fire back at the critic by writing, "Y'all h*es shut up."
"n***as make the same type music all them time b***es hopping on drill beats & yall in a frenzy trying to create wars!" the girlfriend of Lil Uzi Vert fumed. "Listen or don't listen matter fact get off here & go wash yours walls, both of them!!!"
Later in May, JT addressed people's opinions about where they stand in Rap. "I feel like a lot of times, people tend to forget and try to discredit us and say we make bad music," she told Complex. "And I never, ever, ever feel like that."
"I feel like everything we put out is fun and is a bop. It's not conscious rap, but I could definitely do a conscious rap," the femcee, whose real name is Jatavia Shakara Johnson, added. "But I feel like our music is for freedom and fun and partying and to make women feel good and to pop they s**t."
