AceShowbiz - Andy Cohen apparently regretted the way he acted in an episode of "Watch What Happens Live" featuring Kandi Burruss and her daughter Riley. "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" star revealed in a new interview that the TV host apologized to her for asking Riley about her relationship with her estranged dad.

"He just wanted to apologize and say that he in no way wanted to hurt us or anything like that," Kandi told E! News on Sunday, June 12. "And I know it wasn't his intention to make Riley feel bad or anything like that."

The 46-year-old singer/TV star continued, "A lot of people just don't understand that's a sensitive subject for her … but sometimes if you don't give a person a heads up, they kind of get caught off guard. And so that's what I was saying."

Considering her long-standing role on the Bravo show, Kandi admitted that she and the executive producer aren't always on the same page. "I'm sure there are things [that I have said] that he probably doesn't like, and he's said things that rubbed me the wrong way at times, but we're always able to come back on the same page," she told E!. "So he apologized, and I was good. It wasn't that deep for me."

Kandi previously discussed the question during her appearance on "The Slut Pig Podcast" last month. At the time, host Christian Gray Snow asked her about the last time she was "upset" with her Bravo boss. The Grammy winner then opened up that it was when Andy asked Riley, who filled in as the "WWHL" bartender that night, about her dad.

In the said episode of "WWHL", Andy asked Riley, "Has your relationship with your dad improved at all?" The college student then replied, "I don't remember the last time I spoke to him, so that answers that question."

Kandi shares Riley with music producer Russell "Block" Spencer, but she only mentions about him on "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" a handful of times. Additionally, the XScape singer is mom to son Ace (6) and daughter Blaze (2), whom she shares with husband Todd Tucker.
