AceShowbiz - The identity of Lana Del Rey's new flame may have been revealed. If a new report is to be believed, the "Summertime Madness" hitmaker is now in a romantic relationship with Jack Donoghue.
Daily Mail reported on Thursday, May 26 that the 36-year-old singer/songwriter is dating Jack, who is Courtney Love's ex-boyfriend. A source close to Jack told the outlet that she has made no secret of her affection for her new man during his 33rd birthday at the Fraternal Order of the Eagles social club in Altadena, East Los Angeles on May 20.
"They seem really into each other. I mean, she's made pretty clear in her music she likes bad boys with tattoos, Jack is that to the Nth level," the friend said. The source continued, "Jack is all dark and edgy and seems anti-everything but underneath all that he's actually a good-looking guy, an all-American hunk."
The informant went on noting, "He's kind of like this troubled, hot guy, someone who maybe played football in high school but then dropped out to chase his demons." The so-called insider then gushed, "They're like this unexpected power couple of dark twisted Americana."
The source added that Jack has been playing Lana's music when he's missing her. "You might not believe this, but Jack is really romantic," the pal claimed. "He's totally crazy about Lana. While she was away for a few days he was playing her songs really loud, making sure the sound system was good enough."
"It's no big shock to the mutual friend group," the insider further explained, noting that they'd been close for some time. "I don't know how they met. But it makes total sense. I've seen Lana at parties in LA and she's always really been nice and cool. She seems excited to be hanging with him."
The informant further insisted that Jack, who is a member of boy band Salem, "could be the perfect guy for her" as "he's really creative." The source continued, "They should collab[orate] on music as well. He's always been honest about taking a pretty wild ride through life in his music, but Jack's in a really good place right now. It's time for his big comeback."
Prior to dating Jack, Lana was engaged to Clayton Johnson. However, last November, it's reported that the "Born to Die" songstress called it quits due to the pressures of the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to insiders, the singer headed back into the studio to work on new music as she overcame her heartbreak. They spilled to The Mirror, "She's been working on the new album. Lockdown had its struggles and they have sadly gone their separate ways."
