The lawsuit, which was filed by Ashley Walters in May 2021, was initially dismissed in January although a judge still allowed her to refile the complaint at that time.

AceShowbiz - One of Marilyn Manson's legal battles has come to an end. The "Sweet Dreams" rocker is off the hook after a judge threw out a sexual assault and battery lawsuit filed by his former assistant for the second time.

On Wednesday, May 25, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michael L. Stern dismissed Ashley Walters' lawsuit because the "plaintiff has plead too few facts to keep this case in court, and too late." According to the Insider, the case was dismissed with prejudice, meaning it can't be brought back to court.

Reacting to the dismissal, Walters' attorneys at Valli Kane & Vagnini LLP and Hadsell Stormer Renick & Dai LLP told E! News, "We are deeply disappointed in the court's decision today." They added, "If allowed to stand, this decision would drastically limit the ability of victims of abuse to obtain justice through the legal system. We clearly pleaded the facts of this case in the complaint detailing the trauma and abuse Ashley endured, which prevented her from coming forward sooner."

"While the court based its decision on the timeliness of Ashley's claims and not the merits, we disagree with the court's interpretation of the law as it applies to equitable estoppel and the delayed filing of abuse claims," they continued. "We remain confident that a full review of the facts in this case will result in a successful appeal, which we plan on filing."

Walters, who worked as Manson's assistant from 2010 to 2011, filed the lawsuit back in May 2021. She alleged that the musician treated her awfully and bragged about raping women, telling her during a video shoot he "loved when girls looked like they had just been raped." The case was initially dismissed in January.

While Manson has scored a major victory in Walters' case, he is still entangled in legal battles against several other women. Among those accusing Manson of sexual abuse are Evan Rachel Wood, "Game of Thrones" actress Esme Bianco as well as model Ashley Morgan Smithline.
