AceShowbiz - Brandy upheld her promise to "murk" Jack Harlow. "The Boy Is Mine" songstress has slapped the rapper with her "First Class" freestyle after he didn't know that she is related to Ray J.
On Wednesday, May 25, the 43-year-old singer/songwriter released punchy bars for her own rendition of "First Class" that premiered on Hot 97's "Ebro in the Morning" show. In the nearly two-minute freestyle, she raps, "Allow me to reintroduce myself, my name is world-famous, one of the greatest/ Living legend, did I mention my resume is amazing."
Brandy also acknowledges the cancellation of her "Queens" series, saying she's still a queen despite it and even pokes fun at her brother's latest entrepreneurial effort, Ray J's "unbreakable" glasses. "Over 20 years and I'm still a topic/ A b***h is worth a million and I'm feeling philanthropic/ 43 and feeling like a kid with millions watching/ Popular but now I'm poppin' s**t for those out of pocket," she spits.
The freestyle came after Brandy trolled Jack for not recognizing her song and that she's Ray J's sister. "I will murk this dude in rap at 43 on his own beats and then sing [his] a** to sleep," the Grammy Award-winning artist wrote on her Twitter account on May 16. "See, I can have a little fun too hehe...all love."
Jack apparently noticed Brandy's tweets. Taking to his Instagram Story the next day, the "Industry Baby" emcee shared a photo of Brandy and Ray J. He jokingly fired back at the songstress by using her lyrics from her 2005 Kanye West collaboration "Bring Me Down" off the "Late Registration" album.
The drama began after Jack had an interview with Hot 97. During the interview, the rapper was challenged to a game in which he had to guess the song that's playing. At one point, host Ebro Darden played Brandy's 1998 hit, "Angel in Disguise", which he didn't recognize and guessed it's Aaliyah's.
While Jack was still stumped, radio host Peter Rosenberg gave him another hint, saying, "Her brother is the reason a lot of people are famous," with Ebro adding, "Her brother had an amazing sex tape." Jack then quickly asked, "Who's Ray J's sister?"
With the jaw-dropping moment, the radio hosts revealed that Brandy sings "Angel in Disguise", to which Jack said in disbelief, "Brandy and Ray J are siblings?" He later confessed, "Nobody's ever told me that in my life."
