AceShowbiz - Bethenny Frankel is giving Erika Jayne a piece of her mind. In her social media account, the former star of "The Real Housewives of New York City" made it clear that she took offense at "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star's hurtful statement about her late boyfriend Dennis Shields.
Bethenny took to her Twitter account to share her thoughts after Erika made an unwarranted remark during her Wednesday, May 18 appearance on "Watch What Happens Live". When host Andy Cohen asked whether Erika has ever heard any rumors regarding her estranged husband Tom Girardi's debt to other people, including Dennis, the 50-year-old pointed out that Dennis has passed away.
The following day, on Thursday, May 19, Bethenny reacted to Erika's comment. "The episode tonight of @BravoWWHL was taped so I don't address the comment you [made] & Dennis' children are hurt, offended and disgusted by [it]. I appreciate your loyalty, heart and compassion," the 51-year-old reality star tweeted.
In her tweet, Bethenny also referenced that she was set to appear on "Watch What Happens Live" on May 19. Noting that the show was pre-taped, she reasoned why she would not be talking about Erika's statement during the show.
During Erika's interview on the show itself, the "Dancing with the Stars" alum claimed that she was never aware of Tom's alleged crimes and financial problem before the issue came to light. However, host Andy stated that he had previously heard of the allegations from Bethenny which prompted him to bring up the question.
In response to the host's question, Erika jumped to Tom's defense. "In the business that Tom was doing, which was contingent fee, it's not unusual to borrow," she remarked, "So while that may be true, there were also loans that were really paid off."
Erika then went on to give a salty comment about Bethenny's late partner. "I don't know where Bethenny's coming from," she dissed, "Her guy's dead, and my guy is in a home, so whatever. But at the same time, that's kind of the way the business goes."
On the other hand, Bethenny previously claimed that she was aware of the matter long before news of his embezzlement became public. Back in September 2021, the 51-year-old star revealed in an episode of her podcast "Just B With Bethenny Frankel" that her late boyfriend Dennis told her Tom owed him "half a million dollars" and was "using people's money."
