AceShowbiz - Papoose wants Remy Ma to know how much he loves her. When celebrating their 14th wedding anniversary, the "Thought I Was Gonna Stop" rapper took to social media to share a heartfelt tribute to his wife.
Making use of Instagram on Friday, May 13, the 44-year-old shared a throwback photo of himself and his spouse. He also attached one family portrait in which they posed with their daughter. He began his caption by writing, "Today we celebrate 14 years of marriage. Through all the up's & downs, we stuck together."
"Most people don't pass the test of time. So when that happens, it speaks volumes," the emcee added. "@remyma You are an amazing partner. Looking forward to our future! Papoose, who wed Remy in 2008, has often expressed his love to her on social media. A few days earlier, he marked Mother's Day by writing on Instagram, "Happy Mother's Day to my beautiful wife @remyma Thanks for being a great teacher to our daughter. She's brilliant #blacklove #happymothersday."
When appearing on "Drink Champs" earlier this year, Papoose explained how trust and communication helped them maintain their relationship amid Remy's prison sentence. "It's about admitting when you wrong, cause you not always right," he explained. "You or your partner. So when she was locked up, I couldn't touch her. So all we had was communication."
"When I visited her they would say put your hands on the table, s**t like that. So we spoke a lot and throughout that communication, we learned even if there is a disagreement if she's speaking I gotta be quiet," the rapper, born Shamele Mackie, added. "Then when I'm speaking she gotta be quiet."
"And when you do that you really see where you was wrong at cause you be like 'Oh, I made you feel like that?' And that won't be your intentions," Papoose went on elaborating. "It's communication man, we disagree but it don't really escalate to the point of negativity."
