AceShowbiz - Chris Rock's brother has an interesting idea to cash in on the controversy involving Will Smith at the 2022 Academy Awards. Kenny Rock has challenged the Oscar-winning actor to a boxing match after the latter slapped his brother at the prize-giving ceremony.
Kenny, who just signed a deal with Celebrity Boxing founder Damon Feldman, has one person in mind when it comes to whom he would like to fight this summer in Florida. "I should get in the ring with Will Smith," he told TMZ.
Feeling confident, Kenny boasted, "I could take him down!" He further taunted the "King Richard" star, "I'll let the hands do the talking."
Kenny previously said that Will should be stripped off his Academy Award following his slap on Chris. "It eats at me watching it over and over again because you've seen a loved one being attacked and there's nothing you can do about it," he told the Los Angeles Times earlier this month.
He continued, "Every time I'm watching the videos, it's like a rendition that just keeps going over and over in my head. My brother was no threat to him and you just had no respect for him at that moment. You just belittled him in front of millions of people that watch the show."
Meanwhile, Chris broke his silence after the Oscars slap during his set in Boston on March 30. "I don't have a bunch of s**t about what happened, so if you came to hear that, I have a whole show I wrote before this weekend. I'm still kind of processing what happened," he told the crowd at the time.
The "Saturday Night Live" alum added that he would eventually talk about it later, "So, at some point I'll talk about that s**t. And it will be serious and funny." He also suggested he hasn't talked to Will after the slap, saying, "I haven't talked to anyone despite what you may have heard."
Most recently, the funnyman said he won't be talking about the incident until he gets paid. "I'm OK, I have a whole show, and I'm not talking about that until I get paid," he said during his comedy show at Fantasy Springs in Indio, California on Friday, April 8.
