The actor, who portrayed Jackson Avery on the ABC medical drama series, previously was ordered to pay $40,000 child support per month to his ex-wife, Aryn Drake-Lee.

AceShowbiz - Jesse Williams recently gained a major legal victory. It was reported that the Jackson Avery depicter on "Grey's Anatomy" got his child support payments reduced by $30,000 after leaving the ABC medical drama series.

Jesse was previously ordered to pay $40,000 a month to his ex-wife, Aryn Drake-Lee. Now, according to court documents, he will only pay $6,413 per month in a "temporary" modification. Starting from April 15, he can pay half on the first of the month, and the other half on the 15th.

The ruling arrived after Jesse asked a court to reduce his child support payments since he made "far less" than he did when he was on the show. "I am requesting the Court reduce the child support to a reasonable amount I can afford given the significant reduction in my income and the now fluctuating nature of my income," he stated in his filing.

"I appeared on the television show Grey's Anatomy, which was the primary source of income for our family throughout the marriage and for me, post-separation," he pointed out. "I am no longer on Grey's. My last appearance was in May 2021."

"The child support of $40,000 per month ($480,000 per year) which commenced Oct. 1, 2019, was based almost entirely on my Grey's episodic fees which was my then primary source of income," he added. "I had previously been paying child support to Aryn in the combined sum of $50,629 per month pursuant to the Court's order for temporary child support on June 19, 2018 (and $50,695 per month in tax deductible spousal support)."

"The Cabin in the Woods" star, who finalized his divorce from Aryn in October 2020, claimed in the documents that he is currently earning $1,668 per week for his work on Broadway's "Take Me Out" by Richard Greenberg. In addition, he noted that the lifestyle of his and Aryn's children, Sadie, 8, and Maceo, 6, did not and does not reflect the $40,000 a month he's been paying his former spouse.
