The Bravo reality series, which is executive produced by Ryan Seacrest, reportedly has been canceled as it 'simply ran its course' after first airing in March 2012.

AceShowbiz - "Shahs of Sunset" has reportedly been canceled after nine seasons. The news of the cancellation of the long-running Bravo show came in the wake of Mike Shouhed's domestic violence arrest.

On Thursday, April 7, TMZ reported that the Bravo reality series "simply ran its course after first airing in March 2012." The production sources went on to say, "And a decision has been made to end it."

However, the sources said some famous faces of the show, which is executive produced by Ryan Seacrest, may have a second chance at TV success. Cast members including Reza Farahan, Mercedes Javid and Golnesa Gharachedaghi "are all in early talks for potential future projects with the network."

"Absolutely loved the first few seasons of Shahs, but the last season was overproduced and friendships don't seem genuine anymore," one fan of the show lamented on Twitter following the reports. "Well, I'm not surprised by this if it is true. It's been quite dark the past few seasons," wrote another. Meanwhile, a third simply tweeted, "Will miss it."

The news of the show's cancellation came after Mike was arrested for an alleged domestic violence incident. On March 27, he was taken into police custody shortly after West Valley officers responded to a call of "unknown" trouble at approximately 10 P.M. local time.

Mike was later arrested for "intimate partner violence with injury," which an LAPD public information officer explained as another legal term for domestic violence. It's used when there's "visible injury" on the victim.

Mike was charged with corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant, which is a felony, per the sheriff's department. The Bravolebrity was then released after paying a $50,000 bond. He is due back in court on July 25. It's unclear whether his fiancee, Paulina Ben-Cohen, was involved in the domestic violence incident.

Mike's attorney, Alex Kessel, said that Mike denied all the allegations. "My own investigation reveals no acts of domestic violence was committed by my client," stated the lawyer. "I have no doubt Mike will be exonerated. Please honor the presumption of innocence."

Following his arrest, Mike took down his Instagram account. Before deleting his page, the 43-year-old reality star posted a cryptic quote that read, "Your life is your responsibility. Your success is your responsibility. Your failure is your responsibility. Your reaction is your responsibility. Your behavior is your responsibility."

Mike also shared a clip of himself dancing along in his car to a Spanish song by Joe Arroyo titled "Rebelion". The song has a lyric that says, "No le pegue a la negra," which translates in English to "Don't hit the black woman."
