AceShowbiz - People might think that it's hard not to recognize Big Sean and Jhene Aiko, but apparently that is not the case. The two stars were seen attending the LA Rams / San Francisco 49ers game on Sunday, January 30, but the staff member in charge of the caption for the jumbotron appeared to fail to recognize them.
Much to everyone's confusion, the "My Last" rapper and his R&B singer girlfriend were listed as Sarah Michelle Gellar and her husband Freddie Prinze, Jr. respectively when they appeared on the jumbotron. The mishap quickly became the talk on the Internet because no one could really understand how the mistake took place.
"They just showed @BigSean & @JheneAiko on the big screen with the caption Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. under them [laugh face emoji] they look confused," one Twitter user wrote.
Also catching wind of the faux was Sarah herself. The "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" actress took to her Instagram account to ask the rapper, "@BigSean do you get mistaken for me as often as I get mistaken for you?" She also shared some pictures from her "actual date at the #ramshouse."
The mother-of-two, who was not even attending the game, further poked fun at the mishap on Instagram Stories. Alongside pictures of the funny situation, the TV star wrote, "Well they do sat [sic] the pandemic changes people..." In a separate post, she said, "Um... my big moment at the game?!? It's funny though... not the first time I've been mistaken for @BigSean."
Meanwhile, neither Aiko or Big Sean have yet to publicly respond to the now viral moment.
As for the game, The Rams struggled from a 10-point deficit in the fourth quarter but then recovered. The thrilling 20-17 victory over the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC championship game secured the team a spot in the Super Bowl at their home stadium next month.
